Behind a Punisher Pickup Truck
The Punisher logo has transcended its comic book origins, however, and has now become a symbol used by white supremacist right wing militia groups.
There’s something that’s been happening with increasing frequency over the last year. I’ve been pulling up at traffic lights behind pickup trucks with decals featuring the Punisher logo and references to guns. The truck pictured here shows three Punisher decals on one truck, and a warning that the driver should no longer be expected to fire a warning shot.
The Punisher logo, featuring a skull with elongated teeth, began in comic books, which tells you something about the mentality of the people who enjoy it. The logo has transcended its comic book origins, however, and has now become a symbol used by white supremacist right wing militia groups.
These pickup truck drivers are signaling their willingness to commit acts of political violence.
Are these people foot soldiers in Donald Trump’s Army of God?
