A Mask In The Pavement
A memory of the first time I saw the Iowa Faith Leader Coalition in action.
In Ottumwa, Iowa, I stood on the sidewalk and watched the church pastor from down the road walk boldly from the Republican Party tent at the festival. Striding across the square to shake hands with the visiting dignitary, Donald Trump, his polished shoes shoved a blue face mask into the cracks between the paving stones.
This was the first time I saw the Iowa Faith Leader Coalition in action.
Will it be the last?
