face mask howler

He opened the car door and got out, holding in his right hand a six pack of beer that he held up high and howled, announcing his contribution to the fraternity’s supplies for the night.

With his left hand, he pulled his smartphone out of his rear back pocket, which is also where he had stuffed the mask he was supposed to wear to protect people around him from the COVID-19 virus. In the brisk September wind, the mask that came out of his pocket along with the smartphone blew across the parking lot in a matter of seconds.

The party? It was a howl and a good time was had by all.

36 of the frat’s neighbors died over the next 10 weeks.
